A Beautiful University of Maryland Graduation Session

There is something so special about graduation sessions! They are all about celebrating years of hard work, exciting accomplishments, and the beginning of a brand-new chapter.

I had such a wonderful time photographing this beautiful University of Maryland graduate! Between her gorgeous smile, the classic campus architecture, and the absolutely fantastic natural lighting, everything came together for a picture-perfect session.

One of my favorite things about photographing outdoors is finding that beautiful, soft natural light that makes portraits feel bright, colorful, and timeless. The lighting during this session was incredible, bringing out the rich reds of her graduation stole and the beautiful tones of the brick buildings while keeping everything looking natural and true to life.

I also loved incorporating the campus into her portraits. The beautiful brick buildings, white columns, and classic steps made the perfect backdrop to celebrate such an important milestone. And of course, we couldn’t forget the cap and gown!

What I love most about graduation photography is capturing more than just a pretty picture. It’s about preserving the excitement, confidence, and happiness that come with reaching such a huge accomplishment.
